Gold and silver hunting whip stock pin

This antique stock pin is made of 9ct gold and silver and stamped as such with the makers mark (A.J.H.) Alfred James Howe a renowned maker of fine jewellery. The horse shoe is set in the centre of a hunting whip, the shaft being gold and the ends being silver. The pin fastens with a nappy pin type closure and there is a loop to which a safety chain could be attached.
