Gold and silver traditional hunting whip stock pin

This vintage stock pin is made of gold and silver and stamped 9ct & SIL. The pin is made by Alfred James Howe (A.J.H.) a renowned maker of good quality jewellery and stock pins in the early 20^th century. The pin is in the shape of a hunting whip the shaft of the whip being in gold and the ends being in silver. The pin fastens with a safety pin type closure and there is a loop to which a safety chain could be attached.
