Gold and amethyst stock pin

This Antique 9ct gold stock pin was made by Alfred James Howe (A.J.H.) a renowned silver and goldsmith of the 20^th century. The oval amethyst 7mm across is set centrally in a straight bar of gold and surrounded top and bottom by scrolls of gold. The pin closes with a nappy pin type fastening and has a safety chain attached.  The pin will be sent in the box shown in the photographs which may be the original box.
