Gold hunting whip stock pin

This vintage traditional hunting whip stock pin is made of nine carat gold and stamped 9ct. The makers mark PPLD stands for Payton Pepper and sons Ltd of Birmingham who were trading from 1931-1963.The detailed workmanship in the handle is exquisite. This pin closes with a nappy pin fastening and there is a loop to which a safety chain could be attached.
